Dear Saddle Sore Compadres,

Wouldn't you know it? The recent flooding held up the Butterfield Stage at Mossy Rock Crossing and it couldn't get into town with the move planned to show at the Eden Brook bijou theater. Does that mean no movie night? Nope. A few of the boys sitting on the bunkhouse porch were having a discussion about whether or not if any innocent men have been hung for rustling? The consensus what that, "yeah, maybe." One whiskered old hand reminded the group of an incident where three men are lynched without trial for rustling. After they are hung, it is learned that they were innocent when the legal bill of sale for the cattle shows up. This all happened over in the town of Lone Smith.

Anyway, Broken Spur Billy chimes in that he remembers a movie the bijou ran many years ago called, "My Cousin Vinny" that follows the trial of two young lads wrongfully accused of murder in a small Alabama town. A quick search of the Bijou attic located the old copy of the movie and now that is the movie that will be shown tomorrow evening at 6:00 PM in the basement theater of Eden Brook (formerly Sunny Ridge).

One of the two lads has a cousin in New York who is a lawyer (sort of) and gets his cousin to come to Alabama with his fiance to defend him in court.

The movie stars Joe Pesci, Marisa Tomei, Ralph Machio, Fred Gwynne and Lane Smith. Released in 1992, the movie runs 1 hour 59 minutes.
